Can't Stop, Won't Stop
Dear Members and Allies,
Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union and Grow Brooklyn stand in solidarity with the Black community. We see the specific challenges faced by our Black members and clients in all the facets of our banking, tax, legal, and counseling work. Systemic inequity blocks off opportunity and makes it near-impossible for Black households to build and preserve wealth. Deliberate strategies of exclusion must be countered with deliberate strategies of inclusion, and forging that path with our members and clients has motivated our work for the past 18 years.
We will continue to create pathways to equity. We will fight to ensure that communities of color access their rights and privileges. We commit to disrupting the racial wealth gap and advocating for policies that address generations of economic injustice experienced by the Black Community. We pledge to remain accountable to our members and allies. There is no more important work than this.
In Solidarity,
Samira
